Description: Tyson is, first and foremost, a lover. This 45-pound bundle of affection only wants to lie in your lap and get belly rubs. Unless, that is, you have a ball. Then it is time to play fetch! Tyson spent his first few years as a hunter (and a good one at that) and was then adopted by a family with two young children and lived happily with them for the past several years. Now, at the age of eight, the family could no longer give him the time and attention that he needed and asked the American Brittany Rescue to help.
Tyson is up to date on all vaccinations and is a healthy and happy boy. He does well with other dogs (although he is a bit food aggressive if it is in his bowl), but his first true love is his people. He loves his people - male or female, young or old, it doesn't matter. He will literally follow me everywhere I go in the house and then lie in the room I am in -- he just wants to be as close to me as possible.
One other thing important to note is that Tyson is extremely active for an eight-year-old dog. He has every bit as much energy as my three-year-old Britt (if not more) and would need a yard to run around and play in -- that is, assuming you are out there playing with him in it. He has not had much experience on a leash but responds to verbal commands such as sit, stay, and here.
Tyson would be happiest in a home with people (with or without other animals) who are home often and can give him the time and attention he craves. He is such a sweet boy and deserves a loving and caring home.
