Dog Story:
Hi everybody! My name is Buddy and I weigh in at only 32 lbs. I’m a running, jumping, kissing machine. Even a friend of my foster Dad calls me Buddy Luv!

I get to play every day with my foster sister.  We play and run in the back yard and I love to play tug of war with her or with one of my foster parents.  Their  grandson comes over often and I wrestle with him. I don’t bite or get too aggressive with him though. I feel I would be good with all kids. I do have a tendency to jump when someone comes to visit but we are working on that.

I went to the vet the other day so that they could check me over.  You see, I have a problem with one of my back legs. When I was just a pup, I fractured my leg and my owner didn’t have it fixed properly. It doesn't bother me or slow me down but I do have a little hitch in my giddy-up. The doctor said I would be fine, but I will probably have arthritis when I get older. He also said I am at a good age and that it could be repaired. So he made a CD of my X-rays in case my next owner wanted to know what was wrong.  Everyone at the doctor’s office said I have a good demeanor (I’m not really sure what that means but my foster Dad smiled when they told him that).

The other night I overheard my foster parents talking (they thought I was asleep), and they said ABR is getting in a lot of dogs due to the economy (whatever that means). Even though they would like to keep me and I would like to stay, they need to find me a forever home. That way they can help other dogs. So I'm just waiting for a home as wonderful as this foster home to call my very own.

If you are interested in a running, jumping, kissing machine, or just a buddy to lie down and take a nap with, I am the one for you. I'm up to date on my vaccines and heartworm negative.

History:
My owner for some reason couldn't keep me anymore, so he dropped me off at the Humane Society in Evansville, IN. The people there took good care of me until they called ABR. Sometimes they would even take me home with them over night.
